Roosters, Parker’s Local Barber Shop, Helps School Band Programs Thrive
Parker, CO (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- Roosters of Parker’s fundraiser will go from October 28 - November 28, perfect timing for those holiday cuts. For an entire month, Rooster’s customers will be helping to give back to the students in the community, simply by coming in for one of Rooster’s services. Students need cuts too and what an easy way to help give back to their own band programs. Roosters of Parker specializes in haircuts for men and boys, as well as facial shaving.
Music has been a part of Roosters’ owner, Jesse Shapiro’s life for as long as he can remember. “I was introduced to music at a very young age. I played in elementary school and junior high school, but it wasn't until high school when I discovered the joy of marching band and continued for nine years through college. I have been in marching band, pep band, jazz band, wind ensemble, you name it,” said Jesse Shapiro.
In addition to owning Rooster’s, Jesse plays drums in the local Denver pop/dance cover band, Groove 22 (http://www.groove22.com). Jesse said, “Band made me who I am today. I learned teamwork, responsibility and camaraderie. I learned that if you work hard, you will be rewarded. But most importantly, I learned that I will never be alone. I will always have a home in music. I may not be from Parker originally, but I am chipped from the same stone of music as all of the other musicians in high school band. Go Wolverines! Go Titans! Go Mustangs!”
