Rotary Senior Living Board Members of Eagle Grove, Iowa Attend Training Conducted by the Iowa Health Care Association in Des Moines
Eagle Grove, IA (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- Several Board Members of Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove recently attended a day long training conducted by the Iowa Health Care Association in Des Moines. The Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA) and Iowa Center for Assisted Living (ICAL) represent more than 650 Iowa nursing homes, assisted living and residential care facilities, home health agencies, hospice, and independent senior living and retirement communities.
The training is designed to provide information on the roles and responsibilities of board members along with a better understanding of the workings of a facility/organization, ethics, compliance, funding, and financial requirements.
Those attending the day-long session held May 20th were Sam Boeke, Rotary Senior Living CEO; Paul Tokheim, Vice President of the Rotary Board; Mel Sampson, Treasurer of the Rotary Board; Del Kramersmeier, Secretary of the Rotary Board, and Chad Foust, Rotary Board Member.
Session topics and discussions covered subjects such as “Expansion of Services”, “Understanding Financial Systems and Capital in Long Term Care”, “Compliance Programs”, and “Protecting Yourself from Medicaid Integrity Issues”. A keynote session focused on board member responsibilities and how to improve results through the building of people, processes and procedures.
