ymportant is designed to make keeping a trace about what matters quicker and more rewarding than any other option available. From a magical moment like a special evening with friends to recurring occurrences like a visit to the gym, users can keep track of any life event. ymportant is not the electronic version of a diary. It was built from the ground up around the capabilities of modern mobile touch devices. It involves very little to no typing, saves the user from scrolling through their photo library by providing direct access to related pictures, and generates sharable visual summaries called "ympy strips." Not based on the usual tags or text writing, ymportant provides touch-based filtering, automatic averages for numbers, price totals, etc. The data are stored locally on the device so that unlike what happens with social media, users do not need to censor themselves when deciding what deserves a trace and what not.
