On behalf of Dareryq Robinson, a 16 year old boy who should be like any other sophomore in high school but due to his struggle with Sickle Cell Disease, he’s now considered a freshman. Dareryq suffers with chronic pain and Osteoporosis due to his illness and can no longer attend high school.
His mom, M’Elena is single and can only work part time so she can take care of him and his younger sister. She tries to provide all she can including physical therapy and constant visits to the hospital but she cannot purchase a laptop and internet service that would allow him to continue his education and not fall further behind in school.
