RPR Studios Releases Episode 1 of “A Spirit Story”
Clifton Park, NY (PRWEB) May 22, 2014 -- “Evan woke up, alone and afraid,” so starts the haunting narration of the first episode of RPR Digital’s new web series “A Spirit Story,” now available on YouTube.

Created by Chantalle Todd and Lauren Hoffman with an original score by Christine Smith, the supernatural tale follows a young boy, Evan, who awakens to find himself in a far different existence than he expected.
“We are very excited about ‘A Spirit Story’ and believe if we can get the word out about its availability that the series will build an audience over its 10 episode initial season,” said Russell Wilks, Chief Executive Officer of RPR Digital’s parent company, RPR Studios. “We will be releasing a new two to three minute episode every six weeks, which is as fast as we can produce them.”
Each episode advances the story through a series of partially animated digital paintings created by Todd. Motion is added by Hoffman and, in a final step, Smith composes the music that supports the mood Todd is seeking in her paintings.
“We chose this production method because we wanted a more sophisticated look than what we use with the animation for our RPR Youth channel,” said Todd. “This project is aimed at young adults and older. The partial animation technique lets us tell Evan’s story, achieve the look we want, and not have to spend a year on the project that full animation would require.”
“A Spirit Story” is just the first of three web series RPR Digital plans to release by the fall of this year. “We like the stories we can tell through animated series and shorts,” said Wilks. “We want to constantly be adding new content to both RPR Digital and RPR Youth, so our followers know they will always find something new to watch.
RPR Digital is the business unit within RPR Studios LLC dedicated to developing and producing digital/web-based content. The unit seeks to actively create high quality original content for company owned web channels. Content on the RPR Digital web channels can vary from animated projects, viral videos, to web series.
