Rubin Insurance Announces DC Area Charity Drive to Support Local Mother and Daughter Fighting Cancer
Leesburg, VA (PRWEB) August 16, 2016 -- Rubin Insurance, a full-service insurance and financial planning firm with offices in Leesburg, Virginia, is announcing a charity event that will take place throughout the Washington DC area to benefit a local mother and her daughter who have both been diagnosed with cancer.
In July of last year, Iliana Rubin, daughter of Gina Rubin, was diagnosed with a relatively common form of leukemia. However, because Iliana has a chromosome abnormality, she is treated as very high risk. In September of the same year, Gina was given a checkup by her doctor and learned she has high-grade Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The cancer was detected early, and Gina is now facing six months of grueling treatment.
“When tragedy strikes, it’s important that families in our community can come together and support one another, and that’s why we’re calling on everyone to join us in helping Gina and Iliana in their fight against cancer,” says Ronald Rubin, founder and director of Rubin Insurance.
Rubin and his professional team have begun building an online social media page and initiating a community email update system to inform local families and business owners about the charity event to support Gina and Iliana.
