Sabai Technology Forms South Carolina Executive Advisory Board
Simpsonville, SC (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- South Carolina tech company Sabai Technology recently announced the formation of a corporate advisory board. According to William Haynes, Founder, CEO, and President of the company, the board will provide strategic counsel to the organization’s leadership team.
“Sabai Technology’s advisory board will meet quarterly with the goal of providing advice and experienced perspective on current and future strategic goals. We, the management team, will use this advice as a road map to implement and execute in the day-to-day,” explains Haynes.
Founding members of the advisory board include Randy Parker of JR Parker & Co. and Michelle Higdon of Solid Gold Pet, LLC.
JR Parker & Co., based in Charleston, SC, is a boutique investment and merchant banking firm serving emerging growth companies. Mr. Parker first worked with Sabai Technology in 2012 as a strategic planning advisor as part of an SC Launch grant provided by SCRA.
Michelle Higdon has had a career focus on branded consumer goods. She joins the board after several meetings with the company, during which both sides expressed interest in working together. Ms. Higdon has experienced tremendous success growing corporate value by expanding distribution, brand awareness, and household penetration.
To date, the company’s flagship product is the Sabai OS VPN Router, the only consumer VPN router with a three-click OpenVPN setup. While the company has grown substantially with this product, the long-term vision goes beyond a niche market. “We are network specialists and we have a passion for connectivity,” says Haynes.
In 2013, Sabai Technology announced the creation of an open source project named JaiRo, a high powered consumer router product. “We have a vision for the home network beyond the utility of connecting devices to the internet. There are certain applications, such as web filtering and virus protection, that make more sense as a network application than device-by-device. Current consumer routers just aren’t capable of facilitating that additional functionality,” describes Haynes. The company plans to release an alpha version of JaiRo in the first quarter of 2014.
Sabai is excited to work with both Mr. Parker and Ms. Higdon, believing their experience and expertise will be a continued asset to the organization. “We are focused on making an incredible product and sharing it with the world,” concludes Haynes. “The advisory board will help us execute those goals more effectively and efficiently.”
