Sacramento Lawyer's Monthly Charity Networking Events Continue to Raise Money and Awareness for Local Non-Profits
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- Over the past year, personal injury lawyer Eric Ratinoff says he's developed a Sacramento event series which raises awareness and funds for some of our area's most worthy causes.
By inviting community organizations to network for a cause, his monthly #Network4Cause series has attracted the attention of local companies, non-profits, and professionals seeking a venue to promote their business, while contributing in raising much needed funds for the nonprofits serving our community.
Starting with the sponsorship of Center for the Rights of Migrant Workers last November, the #Network4Cause series has since helped raise over $5,000 for organizations like Brain Injury Association of California, California Food Literacy Center, Northern California's Huntington Disease Society, Sol Collective, and Volunteers of America.
According to Ratinoff's website, each month they sponsor a different non-profit, providing the organization with event space, appetizers, and assistance with promoting the charity and event. The venue, downtown Sacramento's Mayahuel, donates a portion of drink proceeds to the cause, and the organization can raise additional funds through raffles, auctions, or other creative activities.
Upcoming sponsored organizations include: Sacramento Valley Velodrome Assoc., SCDS’ Breakthrough Sacramento, Albie Aware, Inc., Sacramento Breast Cancer Awareness, Education & Support, and Foundation Aiding the Elderly (FATE). New this month, Sacramento ridesharing company Uber has joined efforts by offering #Network4Cause attendees a ride home from the event using a unique promo code. Uber promotion details are provided on event listings.
“These events have turned into a really unique way for non-profits to get to know people in the community, and vice versa,” says Ratinoff. “Every month we're excited to see who attends and what the organization has planned to promote their cause. I think everyone who shows up walks away feeling really good about participating.”
