Sagacious Consultants Launches Service to Support Hospitals Extending EMR Software to Independent Affiliates
Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- To comply with current healthcare reform and Meaningful Use requirements and to improve patient care, a growing number of independent practitioners are choosing to partner with large healthcare organizations to integrate their electronic medical records. Sagacious Consultants, the original Epic consulting firm, introduces a new service line, Sagacious Connect, to guide healthcare systems through this challenging process of extending their EMR software to other independent practices and hospitals in their community, across the country and around the world.
Sagacious Connect leverages one EMR vendor’s Connect program. Once known as the 48-Hr/Day Install and Community Connect, the Connect program has evolved into a robust program to allow healthcare organizations to replicate their EMR instance for independent affiliates.
“Hospitals who participate in an EMR extension program are switching roles; they are transforming from being a customer to becoming a vendor of their instance of the software. We recognize that it is a tough transition, and we want to be the go-to partner that walks healthcare organizations through the process,” said Kelsey Creveling, director of Sagacious Connect, who brings extensive vendor-side experience to the role. She was the former communications manager and member of the vendor’s Community Connect leadership team.
Sagacious Connect helps customers develop an EMR extension program that best suits their needs. Providing strategic planning and advisory services, Sagacious Consultants helps define the scope of the service offering, develop a sales strategy and marketing collateral, determine staffing needs, and establish training programs for independents.
To ensure a successful implementation, Sagacious Consultants provides experienced project managers to manage the day-to-day implementation of the customer’s extension project. They also provide key staff, including build analysts, expert trainers, e-learning program development resources, skilled report writers, technical administrators, and go-live support experts.
“The goal is to not only deliver a site on budget and on time. We want our customers to have a successful program, because it’s a huge opportunity to improve patient care, improve physician relations, and extend a hospital’s reach in the community,” said Creveling.
Sagacious Connect is the latest addition to a suite of solutions that Sagacious Consultants offers to more than 50 health care providers nationwide. The company offers a non-billable initial onsite meeting to review a customer’s current program and goals and develop a plan of action for working together.
