SAGES Launches ATIV’s EventPilot® Conference App to Provide an Interactive Mobile Meeting and Handouts Tool
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 25, 2013 -- To enhance the meeting experience for attendees of the 2014 SAGES Annual Meeting, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) has launched its SAGES 2014 mobile conference app powered by the EventPilot® meeting app platform. The 2014 SAGES Annual Meeting, “Putting the Patient First,” will take place from April 2-5, 2014, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City.
“This year, our conference app gives members the additional benefit of viewing and taking notes directly onto PowerPoint presentations from their smartphone or tablet,” said Tonia Young-Fadok, MD, Annual Meeting Program Chair. "All that attendees need to bring to the conference is their smart device since the entire meeting content is packed into our mobile app with its advanced note-taking feature.”
Attendees can plan ahead using the event app to build their personal meeting agenda for the four days, bookmark significant items, and keep their findings in order with the notes feature in-context of sessions or speakers. All key learning can easily be exported through an e-mail report at any time during or after the meeting and includes all notes and bookmarked items. To maintain focus during sessions, SAGES uses EventPilot’s PowerPoint presentation add-on function so users can download, view and take notes on slides directly from their smartphone or tablet.
To widen the audience, attendees can also share pertinent slides with peers via Twitter or e-mail. Another added benefit is that the paperless app handles thousands of media items and PowerPoint presentations which are easily accessible to users even when working offline. Content update works seamlessly throughout the event removing the requirement to print meeting handouts.
Attendees can search for “SAGES 2014” to find the iPhone and iPad conference app in the App Store. The Android event app is available in the Android market and a web version for BlackBerry and other web-enabled devices is also available.
