Saint Joseph’s University Partners with Reading Area Community College
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- As part of a new articulation agreement, students of Reading Area Community College will be able to apply to Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia through a dual admissions process which minimizes course duplication and accelerates bachelor degree completion. The process is designed to seamlessly take existing college credits and provide flexibility and convenience for adult and non-traditional students. Students enrolled at Reading Area Community College in an associate degree program in general studies or liberal arts may apply for dual admissions in Saint Joseph’s B.S. in Professional and Liberal Studies online or ground-based programs.
The online B.S. in Professional and Liberal Studies offers the convenience of completing the degree entirely online in the concentrations of organization development and leadership and autism studies. Additionally, online Saint Joseph’s students receive a 10 percent tuition reduction scholarship. The concentration in organization development and leadership brings together psychology, sociology and communication to equip students with applicable skills to successfully manage organizations for success, positioning graduates to be agents of change related to strategic development, ethical considerations and policies. The online autism studies concentration offered by Saint Joseph’s is one of only 50 globally that is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) which prepares students to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Examination for the industry’s leading accreditation.
Reading Area Community College general studies and liberal arts students may also apply for dual admissions through Saint Joseph’s University for its ground-based B.S. in Professional and Liberal Studies at main campus in Philadelphia. Students enrolled in the ground-based B.S. in Professional and Liberal Studies program may choose a concentration in autism studies, environmental and sustainability studies, humanities, professional studies, public administration or social science. Students who are members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society may be eligible for merit-based scholarships.
