SaltStack Delivers More Advanced Cloud Orchestration for Amazon Web Services
Las Vegas (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- SaltStack, the creators of automation software for Web-scale infrastructure operations, today announced new SaltStack cloud orchestration capabilities for Amazon Web Services. Visit SaltStack in booth K19 at AWS re:Invent this week to learn how SaltStack can be used to deploy and configure AWS infrastructure and the applications, containers and code that run on AWS. SaltStack is also announcing new integration with PagerDuty this week.
The Salt 2014.7 release includes eight new execution modules for Amazon Web Services, further enhancing SaltStack cloud orchestration. The new AWS modules include:
- Auto Scaling Groups and spot instance launch control;
- CloudWatch monitoring;
- ElastiCache in-memory cache environments;
- Elastic Load Balancing traffic distribution;
- Identity and Access Management;
- Route53 domain name server web service;
- EC2 security groups;
- Simple Queue Service.
Also this week from AWS re:Invent, SaltStack has released a new integration with PagerDuty to allow systems administrators and data center operators to use the efficiency and convenience of PagerDuty notifications to tap into the wealth of data monitored and collected by SaltStack.
SaltStack provides IT operations and DevOps organizations a central point of control to orchestrate and automate any public or private cloud infrastructure, virtualization or container. SaltStack software helps businesses offset the risk of cloud and infrastructure investments through increased efficiency and cost savings, and improved compliance and security.
SaltStack software was designed from the beginning to automate the management of Web-scale environments, large data centers and enterprise IT operations. SaltStack is also used to control any public or private cloud infrastructure, providing autonomics that intelligently react to machine or human-generated events to keep mission-critical applications and systems available and secure.
AWS re:Invent runs from Nov. 11-13 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. SaltStack representatives will be available at re:Invent to demonstrate fast and flexible SaltStack systems management software for cloud orchestration, infrastructure automation and server configuration management. Demonstrations of the new SaltStack support for AWS cloud infrastructure, as well as the SaltStack integration with PagerDuty, will be available in SaltStack booth #K19.
