Sam Donaldson to Keynote 11th Annual International Symposium on Melanoma and Other Cutaneous Malignancies

(PRWEB) February 23, 2015 -- Sam Donaldson, award-winning 44-year ABC News veteran and melanoma survivor, will be the keynote speaker at the 11th Annual International Symposium on Melanoma and Other Cutaneous Malignancies® on March 7. Since being diagnosed with and successfully treated for melanoma, Donaldson has been a dedicated advocate for cancer research and treatment. He is chair emeritus of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s Board of Directors, an honorary member of Wistar’s Melanoma Research Center Advisory Board and a board member of Research!America, an advocacy group promoting research into cancer treatment and prevention.
“The war on cancer must be won. It is my hope that by sharing the insights I have gained along the way, I can inspire cancer patients to work actively with their medical teams to fight the disease, and encourage continued research and funding for new therapies,” said Donaldson.
