San Antonio Aquarium Collects Sweaters, Coats, Blankets for Abused, Neglected, Abandoned Kids
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) December 18, 2015 -- San Antonio Aquarium recently received donations of 740 articles of coats, sweaters or blankets to benefit the youth that have been abused, neglected or abandoned. These youth are being assisted by The Children’s Shelter which has taken the donation and will parse it out to children in need. One of the objectives of The Children’s Shelter is to ensure that these children’s faith in humanity is restored upon leaving the shelter. They do this by providing them with items that will bring up their self esteem and make them feel more comfortable. When they are ready to leave the shelter, the items they have amassed while in the care of the shelter will go with them.
San Antonio Aquarium got involved in this campaign with the assistance of the Rudy Castillo Law Firm who advertised the campaign to the public via radio stations LaLey (KLEY 95.7FM) and Norteno (KSAH 104.1FM). With all parties involved and a little push from the cities of San Antonio and Leon Valley, the campaign will help these kids to feel a little warmer this holiday season. Mayor Chris Riley of Leon Valley stated, “What a wonderful way to give back to those less fortunate in our community! We hope we can continue to work together on projects like this in the future.” Alui Cleaver, COO of San Antonio Aquarium stated, “San Antonio Aquarium looks forward to continuing its tradition of giving back to its community each year into the future and is proud to be assisting so many. ”
