San Diego Based CEO Meets with Federal Lawmakers Discussing Small Business Growth
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2015 -- San Diego business owner and CEO recently attended the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Washington Presentation in Washington, D.C. to speak with national policymakers regarding small business interests.
Jones, who guides Magma, a manufacturer of computer capabilities expanders, met with the offices of Senator Diane Feinstein and Rep. Scott Peters. They talked about critical issues ranging from tax reform that includes small business to improving trade opportunities, and much more.
“Making sure small businesses can survive and thrive in a post-recession economy is incredibly important for jobs and the creation of new technologies.” said Jones. “It was a privilege to meet with legislators and offer my opinions and suggestions in support of small businesses.”
As part of the delegation, Jones participated in several activities aimed at providing small-business owners the latest updates on federal legislation, as well as increasing policymakers’ awareness of critical small-business issues. The delegation heard from a host of leaders and lawmakers including Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration Maria Contreras-Sweet; Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Joe Manchin; and Reps. Steve Scalise, Steve Chabot, Tim Walberg, Grace Meng, Blaine Leutkemeyer and Tony Cardenas.
