San Francisco Sober Living Homes Expand into Pittsburg, Antioch Regions
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 10, 2014 -- TLC Residential, California’s largest privately owned network of sober living homes (SLE’s) for men and women, is announcing the company’s eastward expansion plan into nearby regions. These include Pittsburg, Antioch, and Brentwood, CA. The announcement follows a series of prior San Francisco Bay Area transitional housing expansions, spanning from San Rafael and Novato down to San Mateo, Redwood City, San Jose and Mountain View.
With the first four locations having already opened in Pittsburg, Bay Point, and Antioch, CA, additional recovery residences in Antioch and Brentwood are currently in development. Says CEO, Frank Montero, “Having spent much of my career working in the realm of substance abuse treatment, there is absolutely no question as to the positive impact of sober living and transitional housing to those in the recovery process. Expanding into these outlying regions means many others will be afforded this type of opportunity without the need to relocate.”
With the current location count at 37 homes, TLC Residential is poised to reach 40 locations during mid-summer 2014. Given its higher than normal rate of success as measured by various treatment industry standards, the company remains fluid in the possibility of broadening its sober housing network outside Greater San Francisco and California as a whole.
First launched in 1988, TLC was born primarily of a passion for recovery and helping others. Says Montero, “The reality at the time as to the importance of sober living housing as a tool for gradual transition had become clear industry-wide, though very few had the means or the know-how in terms of creating a healthy, proactive residence that would serve its purpose while effectively integrating within the unique addict mindset.”
Today, TLC provides what the company describes as being semi-structured, upscale and affordable recovery residences for men and women in early recovery from addiction and alcoholism, as well as those with several years of recovery. Monthly rates range from $550 to $900 and each location provides a broad scope of recovery-based elements such as family-style chores and activities, random on-site screening, mandatory 12-step or other recovery-focused meeting attendance and more. Variations of comforts are also made available for residents, among which are; premium cable television, computer, Wi-Fi, modern kitchens & furnishings, nice residential locations with nearby conveniences, etc. For those requiring a higher level of clinical care, TLC remains active within a local network of outside services such as, outpatient treatment centers, residential facilities, therapists, sober & life coaches, psychologists and so on.
