Santa Rosa Consulting Assists King’s Daughters Medical Center with Successful MEDITECH 6.15 Migration
Franklin, TN (PRWEB) September 08, 2016 -- Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc. and InfoPartners, Inc., today announced another highly successful MEDITECH 6.15 migration. King’s Daughters Medical Center (KDMC), Brookhaven MS, selected Santa Rosa as their migration partner from MEDITECH Magic 5.66 to MEDITECH 6.15. KDMC successfully went live on August 1st. The migration was accomplished as a Level 2 READY implementation which is a reduced consultant support model for community hospitals. Santa Rosa is the only READY partner with more than five 6.x go-lives and a 100% success rate.
“We truly appreciate the guidance and support of our READY partner, Santa Rosa. Without them we could not have done this. We had a core set of consulting assistance that worked full-time at KDMC to help plan, train, build, schedule, and provide go-live and post-live support,” explains Carl Smith, KDMC Chief Information Officer. “The project has been a huge challenge for a facility of our size. We had an amazing team that pulled together to make this project a success. Having support from our Board and Administration was crucial to implementing a project of this size. Our physicians were included in the planning and building of the clinicals, so they have truly bought in to the system and have embraced the change.” Upon the migration, physician utilization of CPOE increased immediately to 90%, with the Emergency Department leading the way with 96%.
KDMC’s MEDITECH 6.15 migration extended beyond the typical project as it entailed replacing a third-party system in the Emergency Department, moving to electronic claims, conversion of hosting providers, and implementation of charge automation. Despite this complex scope, KDMC and Santa Rosa celebrated an on-budget, on-time migration.
“Santa Rosa is honored to be KDMC’s partner for this MEDITECH 6.15 migration. Our highly experienced consulting team averages 20 years of healthcare experience and, therefore, knows how to tailor our unique methodology to each client’s situation and objectives,” explains Mark Scruggs, President of Santa Rosa’s InfoPartners division. “In partnership with MEDITECH, we’ve achieved outstanding results as pioneers in the field, such as the first early adopter for MEDITECH 6.0, the first MEDITECH Magic to MEDITECH 6.0 migration, and the first large, multi-facility MEDITECH READY 6.1 implementation. We bring unparalleled experience to our client’s MEDITECH projects.”
