Sarah Zumbrum Recognized as Oracle ACE Director at Kscope15
Arlington, Texas (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- Sarah Zumbrum is the newest Oracle ACE Director, revealed by ODTUG President Monty Latiolais during the Kscope15 Conference in Hollywood, Florida. Sarah, a Planning Lead at interRel, joins the ranks of fellow ACE Directors Edward Roske, Glenn Schwartzberg, and Tracy McMullen. interRel is now home to four of the seven Oracle ACE Directors in the world who specialize in EPM, as well as Oracle ACE Associates Robert Gideon and Wayne Van Sluys. Zumbrum is only the tenth female ACE Director across any product in the history of Oracle.
“What a fantastic honor to be recognized by Oracle as their newest ACE Director,” said Sarah Zumbrum. “Thank you to those that have supported my journey and made this year’s long dream a reality. I believe my face showed it all [when the announcement was made at Kscope15]. Thank you, ODTUG, for the opportunities and relationships that helped pave the way; I’m grateful for the support I have received. Also, thank you, interRel Consulting, for supporting me in sharing knowledge with the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management community.”
The Oracle ACE Program was founded in 2003 as a way to recognize and reward members of the Oracle technology and application communities for their contributions, as well as help Oracle makes its products more efficient and effective. Members of the program are technologically adept and eager to share their knowledge and experience. To become an Oracle ACE Director, an individual must go above and beyond the requirements of an Oracle ACE and have contributed in a major way to the Oracle community. Additionally, an Oracle ACE Director regularly interacts with the local community and provides developmental feedback to Oracle, maintains an active Oracle-related blog, presents at conferences, and regularly posts in Oracle discussion forums.
“Oracle is committed to driving customer feedback into our products and, to that end, the Oracle ACE community provides an important channel of technical expertise and storytelling,” said Roland Smart, Oracle’s Vice President of Social and Community Marketing. “Sarah Zumbrum joins a growing number of female Oracle ACE Directors and through active engagement in the program, she will serve as a role model for other women to participate.”
In addition to her jump from Oracle ACE Associate to Director, Sarah Zumbrum holds a seat on the ODTUG Board of Directors and is an Oracle Hyperion Certified Implementation Specialist. She is an active member of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) community and continually looks for opportunities for involvement to enhance the user community’s experiences. Zumbrum’s involvement within the Oracle EPM community includes presenting at ODTUG Kscope, OAUG Connection Point, East Coast Oracle Users Conference, and Rocky Mountain Oracle Users Group Training Days. She served as an Oracle Hyperion EPM content reviewer for the ODTUG Kscope15 Conference and RMOUG Training Days. Sarah has been published in a case study and technical journal, is the author of popular blog http://www.EPMQueen.com, and is an active member of the Oracle Hyperion EPM community on Twitter (@EPM_Queen ). She is also the founder of Raleigh Oracle Users Group.
Sarah was interviewed by Oracle Magazine to talk about her experience in the technology field, why she is committed to being a role model for young women entering the technology workplace and encouraging more women to participate in networking opportunities to share their knowledge and experience.
