Sarasota Top Dermatologist Releases New Video Series
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) June 01, 2016 -- SkinSmart Dermatology’s Founder and Medical Director, Elizabeth F. Callahan, MD has just announced she will be posting a series of YouTube videos to her practice’s YouTube channel explaining services and treatments the practice provides. The videos are being produced by local videography firm, Intermedia Productions.
“I wanted to explain how SkinSmart is different than other dermatology practices, and doing that in print didn’t come across the way I wanted,” said Dr. Callahan. “So I thought I’d start with one video explaining the practice and my philosophy about dermatology,” she noted, “and that blossomed into the idea for additional videos.”
The first video in the series is a welcome video geared towards helping new patients get a “feel” for the practice before they make their first visit. Existing patients may see areas of the practice that they have never seen before, and they may even recognize some of the staff. The following videos cover topical areas of interest like fillers and Botox treatments. Plans are in the works to provide videos explaining other treatments in addition to videos about upcoming events and news.
“We are very excited to offer our patients, and potential patients, the chance to get to know us on a more personal level through the video series,” Dr. Callahan said. "The videos are a way for every patient to get to know me and the practice philosophy,” she added.
SkinSmart Dermatology currently has a staff of 40, including two Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeons, Dr. Callahan and Dr. William B. Adams; Physician Assistant Kate Weed; and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Molly Prichard.
Dr. Callahan, named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 2016 --and for the fifth time in a row--will appear in the June issue of Sarasota Magazine, opened SkinSmart Dermatology in 2005 and moved into her current 10,000 plus square-foot medical and surgical facility in 2011. The facility includes state-of the-art equipment, a separate surgical wing for Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, a dedicated pathology laboratory, several waiting areas, a coffee and tea bar and a medical-grade skin care store on site.
