SAV Systems supports rapid growth with the help of Cezanne OnDemand

The continued growth will lead to an increase in staffing and therefore it is vital to have an easy to use HR solution in place.
General Manager Jose De Almeida has been working on putting the foundations in place to support this ongoing growth, and as part of his strategy began to look around for an HR solution capable of developing alongside the business.
“We had a variety of manual systems in place which weren’t co-ordinated and we wanted to replace them with something that was Cloud-based, dynamic and most importantly offered employee self-service,” he explained.
SAV Systems has an extremely diverse workforce, with a significant proportion of employees working remotely, either from home-based offices or on site. Cezanne OnDemand stood out from among potential competitors because of its intuitive design, flexibility and international features that allow employees to log in and update their personal details, book holiday or record sickness absence from wherever they might be.
The pay-as-you-go pricing model – which means companies only pay for the number of active employees they have at any one time – also appealed. “I thought it was a very interesting concept and more appealing to us than having to pay an up-front license fee which would cover far more employees than we actually have,” said Jose.
SAV Systems signed up to Cezanne OnDemand at the beginning of March and after an initial training session, is starting to upload data and create employee profiles. The business decided to upload the data itself, rather than taking advantage of the product’s tool for automatic data transfer, because it wanted to take the opportunity to ‘sense-check’ the information it was holding on employees and make sure everything was correct.
The plan is to roll out a series of short training workshops internally to familiarise everyone with the system, prior to going fully live by the end of April. “Once everyone is happy with the basics we will get additional information up there – payslips and training records for example – and will start using other features such as the performance management module,” said Jose. “The aim is that eventually everything HR-related will be on there.”
The business also believes the ability to analyse data and download detailed reports will be extremely useful going forward. “We don’t have a problem with sickness absence at the moment, but as the company grows and evolves it could be an issue, so it will be really helpful to have the ability to access detailed people-related data,” said Jose.
“It’s very early days and we are only just getting started with the system, but it’s certainly been a very positive experience so far.”
