Save Your Photos Day launch is Huge Success
Altamonte Springs, FL (PRWEB) October 25, 2014 -- E-Z Photo Scan reports the inaugural Save Your Photos Day (http://www.saveyourphotos.org), held Sept. 27 at locations around the world, was an unprecedented success in raising awareness for the importance of preserving family photos and memories. There were 64 picture-scanning events in four countries, featuring hundreds of volunteers donating thousands of hours to the cause.
“The campaign touched countless numbers of lives in this generation and beyond,” says Richard “Rick” Lippert, president, E-Z Photo Scan. “From natural disasters to negligence, family photos are being lost to future generations. The Save Your Photos Alliance is dedicated to raising awareness of the problem.”
The Save Your Photos Alliance, spearheaded by Cathi Nelson of the Association of Professional Photo Organizers (APPO), featured more than a hundred individual volunteers, non-profits, industry associations and companies brought together to host photo scanning and educational events Sept 27th. Kodak Picture Saver scanners and FlipPal mobile scanners were used at many locations. A complete listing of alliance partners is here: http://www.saveyourphotos.org/alliance-showcase.html.
The next Save Your Photos Day will be Sept. 26, 2015.
