Saving Chicago CPR and Babies“R”Us Partner, Offer CPR Classes at Chicago Locations
Chicago, Ill. (PRWEB) January 08, 2014 -- Saving Chicago CPR and Babies“R”Us have partnered to offer free infant CPR classes throughout the Chicago metropolitan area in 2014. Classes are scheduled to take place at select Babies“R”Us store locations every second Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, beginning January 14.
“Becoming proficient in basic CPR methods is an important step toward protecting children from choking injuries and fatalities. Nearly 400,000 people suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest every year, with 88% of those happening at home. Shockingly only 32% of people receive help from a by-stander.* Our goal is to educate the public as to how easy CPR is,” states James Woith, Owner, Saving Chicago CPR.
Saving Chicago CPR’s infant CPR training, made possible by Babies“R”Us, is designed to give participants proficiency in life-saving maneuvers, including back blows, chest thrusts and rescue breaths, ensuring the safety of children in the event of an emergency. Each course focuses on infants 1 year or younger.
