WHAT: As millennials enter their prime working years and baby boomers choose between second careers and retirement, this year's Kauffman Foundation State of Entrepreneurship Address will focus on how emerging demographic trends will define the nation's job creation through entrepreneurship in the coming years.
WHO: Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet has been added to a lineup of policy leaders and experts who will discuss how these demographic groups will shape the future of entrepreneurship.
Other speakers include Kauffman Foundation Acting President and CEO Wendy Guillies, who will deliver the keynote address, and Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, chair of the Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship, who will make opening remarks.
The event will feature a panel discussion led by Moody’s Analytics Chief Economist Mark Zandi, two members of Congress who are past Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipients, Rep. Jared Polis (Colo.) and Rep. John Delaney (Md.), and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii), co-chair of the Congressional Future Caucus, and experts on millennial and baby boomer entrepreneurship trends.
