Scatter Joy Center for the Arts Seeks Art Submissions for “Art by Veterans” Exhibit, Slated for June 26-July 21, 2015
Horsham, PA (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- The recently opened Scatter Joy Center for the Arts (SJCA) is seeking art submissions by regional veterans of America’s armed forces for a special Veterans art exhibit and sale that will run from June 26 through July 21, 2015. The exhibit will be open to the public; admission will be free.
Any Veteran 18 years and older is invited to submit artwork, and the following art forms will be eligible for consideration: paintings in all mediums, photography, mixed media, digital art and sculpture. Digital images (jpg or pdf) of submissions should be sent with entry form by Monday June 1, 2015 to: info(at)scatterjoyarts(dot)org. “We believe there are many veterans who turn to the arts for careers and opportunities for self expression,” says William Lessa, Executive Director of the SJCA. “We are so thankful for the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country, and we’re honored to provide a venue to showcase their art.”
In addition, the SJCA will donate a portion of the art center’s proceeds from the sale of this exhibit’s art to Meghan’s Foundation, a regional non-profit organization whose primary objective is to create awareness and develop programs to support war veterans who are experiencing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
