SceneTap Wins Up-and-Comer Award at Chicago Innovation Awards Ceremony
Chicago (PRWEB) October 31, 2013 -- SceneTap, a Chicago-based data technology company that provides hospitality and nightlife businesses with real-time consumer behavior insights, was one of 10 companies that took home the Up-and-Comer award on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the 12th annual Chicago Innovation Awards.
More than 1,300 people attended the event, including a panel of 13 judges responsible for selecting the winners. This year saw a record number of nominations with 562, compared to 390 in 2012.
The awards welcome businesses of varying sizes and industries, and focuses on those that offer innovative products or services. SceneTap also was a contender for the People’s Choice Award, which was decided by audience vote.

Earlier this month, SceneTap won the title of Chicago’s Coolest Startup at the 6th annual Momentum Awards presented by the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC). SceneTap was one of 200 companies competing for the title. SceneTap also made the shortlist for this year’s international Appsters Awards in the category of Best App Technology.
