Schembri Insurance Group Announces Detroit Area Charity Event in Support of the 5th Annual Zoo Walk to Battle Ovarian Cancer
Dearborn, MI (PRWEB) August 31, 2016 -- Schembri Insurance Group, a Michigan-based insurance and financial planning agency serving business and residential clients in the greater Detroit metropolitan area, is initiating a grassroots charity effort aimed at raising support and generating awareness for the 5th Annual Zoo Walk in honor of The Belinda Sue Fund for Ovarian Cancer Awareness & Research.
Founded in November 2011, The Belinda Sue Fund for Ovarian Cancer Awareness & Research, Inc. is a not for profit organization dedicated to broadening public awareness of ovarian cancer, as well as providing direct support to other organizations that research ovarian cancer screening tools. The Zoo Walk is an annual event hosted by the Belinda Sue Fund that creates exposure and raises support for the cause.
“The tragic reality is that only 20% of ovarian cancers are detected early, and the work the Belinda Sue Fund is doing to help educate the public and raise donations for ovarian screening research will save lives,” says Joel Schembri, founder and director of Schembri Insurance Group.
To help publicize the 5th Annual Zoo Walk Against Ovarian Cancer, Schembri and his professional team are reaching out via social media and a dedicated email bulletin to share information with Detroit area community leaders.
