Schembri Insurance Group Joins the Kelly’s Kids Organization in Charity Drive to Provide Wheelchair Ramps for Families with Disabled Children
DEARBORN, Mich. (PRWEB) October 20, 2017 -- Schembri Insurance Group, a full service firm offering insurance and financial preparation assistance to southern Michigan communities, is announcing an extended charity event to help build wheelchair access ramps for underprivileged families with disabled children.
Named in memory of Kelly Hubbard, a local underprivileged mother of seven who lost her life in a fight against an undiagnosed disease, Kelly’s Kids memorializes her struggle by working to provide area children from underprivileged families with access to medical care and resources that will help improve their lives.
“Many low-income families struggle to help their loved ones receive the right medical equipment they need to live a better life so we want to help them in any way possible,” says Joel Schembri, the owner and executive manager of Schembri Insurance Group.
Efforts to generate community support for the Kelly’s Kids charity event is already underway as the Schembri team connects with local families, resource centers, and care givers over email and social media platforms. Further publicity is expected pending the release of a full length news article on the charity drive which will appear in the newest edition of the Schembri Insurance Group’s local interest webzine “Our Hometown”: http://schembriinsurancegroup.com/magazines/.
Half a dozen charitable causes and nonprofit groups in and around the Detroit region have received publicity assistance from the Schembri Insurance Group over the last year. As regional affiliates of the Agents of Change charity assistance initiative, Schembri and his team will be launching a series of new charity initiatives over the months ahead, at the rate of one every 90 days.
