Scientel® Selected 2015 Corp! Magazine DiSiTech Award Winner, Scientel’s 3rd Win in Row
Bingham Farms, MI (PRWEB) February 18, 2015 -- A new breed of Michigan companies are leading the way in innovation focused on Digital, Scientific and Technological pursuits. To recognize those companies and individuals pushing the boundaries of science, technology and the digital world – Corp! Magazine inaugurated the Business of Science and Technology Awards in 2010 and added a separate Digital Award category the following year. The honorees have enhanced their enterprises through innovation, research, applied science and digital technology.
Corp! Magazine honors these companies at an annual symposium and awards breakfast, which this year is scheduled for February 26, 2015, in Livonia, MI. The symposium features networking, innovative speakers, knowledge sharing and the awards celebration for the year’s honorees. This event is attended by over 200 Michigan C-Suite Executives.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc., received the Corp! Magazine 2014 DiSciTech Award for leadership, R&D, and innovation for the world’s only Content Management Appliance developed under a NoSQL DBMS—Scientel’s Gensonix DB. Hundreds of nominations were received for similar honors, and only a few made it through the selection process. To be awarded a 2nd time in a row was a great achievement and honor that recognized the truly innovative and advanced capabilities offered by Scientel. It was an impressive followup to also winning in 2013—an accomplishment very few have repeated. Similarly, winning this award in 2015 for a 3rd time in a row is truly outstanding!
From the 2013 Awards website: “A first time Science and Technology award winner…Scientel applies advanced IT and Internet/intranet concepts to core business operations… In the next five years, the company plans to expand technical capabilities for addressing Big Data issues at Fortune 5000 and similar-level corporate, institutional and government organizations.” 2013 was a landmark year for Scientel, when it first released its Large Data Warehouse Appliance (LDWA), which was capable of handling 1 Trillion transactions. This capability has been extended much farther since then.
Scientel received the award for 2014 due to Scientel’s extension of its Big Data and NoSQL DBMS capabilities to the field of Enterprise Content Management. There are many content management systems available, but almost none are NoSQL-based, and are therefore ultimately inefficient for the increasing Volume, Velocity, Variety, and Variability of Big Data. In addition, most content management systems are good at managing a few types of content—such as document only or image only, or perhaps combinations of similar specific content types. An ideal solution to the problem of GENERAL content management is Scientel’s Content Appliance, along with the Scientel Enterprise Content Management & Search System (ECMS).
Scientel is also being recognized internationally for its accomplishments in further extending its Big Data-related capabilities using its Gensonix “Polymorphic” NoSQL Super DB technology in releasing its line of Medium Data Warehouse Appliances (MDWA). These are capable of executing 2 Million Transactions per minute on a single node running Gensonix.
GENSONIX NoSQL DB incorporates the 7 major “NewSQL” features namely: Multi-Modeling, Document Stores, NSQL©® Language, SQL Queries (Tables), Transaction Processing, MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) on HPC (High Performance Computers) and “Never-Slow” (processing speed does not slow significantly with increasing data volume for content stores) technology. These factors taken all together solve the various Big Data problems dealing with Volume, Velocity, Variety, Variability, and Veracity resulting in ultimate Value. Such overall capabilities, which truly classify Gensonix as a Polymorphic Super DB, place Gensonix in its own class as an “ALL-in-One SQL”—an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. GENSONIX can be configured to handle trillions of rows of transactions for billions of customers at ultrafast processing speeds.
Business customers, Scientific, Government, and similar organizations can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive instead of being swamped by it. Scientel’s advanced IT, NoSQL DB, and general data-handling capabilities span the range from small to large in both the applications and organizational senses; i.e., from “small data” to “Big Data”, however these are defined for each IT environment. These are only some of the reasons Corp! Magazine again chose Scientel and Gensonix NoSQL DB for its 2015 DiSciTech Award.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments. Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" -- an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces. GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
