Scientology Volunteer Ministers Bid Farewell to Iranduba as Brazilian Mission Continues Down the Amazon River
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- Just as the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Amazon Goodwill Tour were ready to leave Irnaduba, Brazil, they were drafted back into service once again. Heavy rains inundated the region, flooding large areas and isolating several communities.
Orange-clad first responders of the civil defense corps and Volunteer Ministers in yellow worked side-by-side loading the Volunteer Ministers’ river barge with 1.2 tons of food and 16 boxes of clothing, which the Volunteer Ministers ferried down the river to those in need of supplies.
The philosophy and motto of the Volunteer Minister is that no matter the problem, “Something can be done about it.” They live up to this motto with their skilled use of technology covered in The Scientology Handbook—19 chapters, each with its own course, all of which can also be studied online.
During their stay in Iranduba, the Volunteer Ministers held workshops in schools, trained nurses and the local Red Cross in disaster response techniques and provided one-on-one help. They trained and established an Iranduba Volunteer Ministers group that will continue delivering service to the village and outlying communities.
