A well-regarded healthcare executive with experience in the public and private sectors, Scott will be based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Previously, Scott served as the Director of Government Relations for the New Jersey Department of Health, Managing Director at Hill & Knowlton, and Vice President for Government Relations at Coventry Healthcare and First Health Services, where he was responsible for government relations, business development, and strategic planning.
Scott has extensive experience in health care policy, strategic planning, business development and state government affairs. He has dedicated the last 20 years of his career to the healthcare industry, working in both commercial and public sector health insurance programs focusing on Medicaid programs. Most recently, Scott was the president of SJA Healthcare Strategies where he developed state government affairs programs to assist healthcare companies to create new business opportunities, win procurements, and proactively adapt to the challenges of today’s healthcare marketplace.
As a Senior Consultant, Scott will be providing high-level strategic advice to clients in the areas of Medicaid financing, waivers, and in the development and implementation of strategies to drive value in the healthcare system, including in managed care and behavioral healthcare programs.
