Scott Campbell Agency Initiates New Charity Campaign in Wisconsin to Support Good Friend Inc. and Create Autism Awareness in the Community
Waukesha, WI (PRWEB) April 21, 2015 -- With a new community program in the Wisconsin area, Scott Campbell Agency has teamed up with Good Friend Inc. and announced a new charity campaign to raise awareness about autism and funds to help the organization continue teaching acceptance of differences and fostering empathy for students with ASD. Donations to Good Friend Inc. can now be made through the campaign’s page at http://scottcampbellinsurance.com/Autism-Awareness-Making-Good-Friends_16_community_cause.
Autism is now diagnosed at a rate of 1 in 68 Americans and students are growing up with a classmate with ASD. For Good Friend Inc. co-founders Chelsea Budde and Denise Schamens, those classmates are their children. Budde’s two teens and Schamens’ middle child have ASD, and had struggled to make and keep friends in elementary school. They joined forces as parents to create this nonprofit organization, and have taken their Awareness-Acceptance-Empathy message to more than 30,000 people, mainly in southeast Wisconsin schools.
“April is Autism Awareness Month and we really want to make an impact in the lives of everyone in the community affected my Autism. Good Friend Inc. is a wonderful organization and we are proud to be supporting them and learning through them about the acceptance of differences. We are committed to having a very successful campaign and one that will not only raise funds but create awareness at the same time,” said Scott Campbell, the Agency’s principal.
The agency will promote the current campaign over the course of the next 45 days, through its social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through a monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in Wisconsin, where the agency currently operates. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature the campaign and details of the cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue can be accessed here: http://scottcampbellinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_48

Once the current campaign is over, Scott Campbell Agency will continue to work closely with Good Friend Inc. and other nonprofit organizations in the area, to make sure resources are directed to capable hands that can help better the local community, one family or person at a time.
