Scott Childers Is Named Regional Foundation Vice President for the Florida Hospital West Florida Region
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) June 17, 2016 -- Florida Hospital has named Scott Childers Vice President of the Florida Hospital West Florida Region Foundation. Childers brings more than 29 years of executive leadership, philanthropic and fundraising experience to his new role that officially begins June 20, 2016.
Childers was most recently the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for the Baptist Health Foundation in Louisville, Kentucky where he led a capital campaign for the new cancer center there. Prior to that role, he served as the Vice President of Philanthropy for Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Lousianna. He was responsible for the development and coordination of a comprehensive fundraising program including annual giving, major gifts and special events for the eight hospital system.

Childers received his bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry and earned his Masters of Education, specializing in counseling and student personal services from the University of North Texas. He has also earned his certified fund raising executive (CFRE) license and is affiliated with both the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
