Scott Klavon, PRI Director, Named Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- Scott Klavon, Director of Nadcap Program & Aerospace Operations for the Performance Review Institute (PRI) has been named an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
The award is presented to individuals of distinction who have made notable and valuable contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.
Mr. Klavon will receive the honor during the AIAA Associate Fellow Recognition Ceremony and Dinner, which will be held Monday, 5 January 2015 at the Gaylord Palms and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla.
Mr. Klavon has overall management responsibility for the Nadcap program as well as responsibility for identifying additional aerospace sector needs and creating industry managed solutions. Prior to joining PRI, he held a broad variety of positions at SAE International over a 22 year career culminating with a position as part of the executive management team. Prior to joining the staff at SAE International, Mr. Klavon was an Aviation Maintenance Engineer at the Naval Aviation Depot Pensacola supporting US Navy and Marine Corps H-1 aircraft. He began his professional career as a commissioned officer in the US Navy.
Mr. Klavon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Executive Development Program. He is a Member of SAE International; an Associate Fellow of AIAA; a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society; a Board of Director for the American National Standards Institute; and a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom.
