SD Model Makers now offers both traditional and a new detailed half hull model styles. The traditional or "simple”, half hull model has the basic hull shape and color, from the deck down. The hull is normally painted and includes a mahogany baseboard and brass name plate. The new and unique “detailed” half hull models have the basic hull shape but also include above deck details such as wood trim; doors, windows and ports; hand railings, stanchions and lifelines; for sailboats a section of the mast, rope clutches, winches, cleats, etc. will be included. Essentially the detailed half hull is almost a full model, cut in half.
