SDCC Announcement: Film Adaptation of David Mack’s Graphic Novel KABUKI to be Exec. Produced by Neil Gaiman and Produced by Commonwealth Film Mfg.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 21, 2013 -- Neil Gaiman has signed on to Executive Produce the film version of David Mack’s graphic novel, KABUKI. Cat Mihos and Rod Hamilton of Commonwealth Film Manufacturing will produce and are currently shopping the project.
KABUKI is a story of a young female assassin codenamed Kabuki, who acts as an agent and television law-enforcement personality for a secret government agency in Japan known as “The Noh.” The series was first published in 1994, most recently by Marvel Comics, and has nearly two million copies in print in the U. S. alone including seven volumes of collected stories. KABUKI is also available internationally and has been translated into seven different languages.
