SDM Software Names Kevin Sullivan VP of Product Management and Business Development

Founded by Darren Mar-Elia in 2006, SDM Software has helped hundreds of organizations better manage and secure their systems by optimizing Group Policy. Today the company is focused on configuration modernization and helping IT professionals manage their cloud-connected systems.
Sullivan joins SDM Software in the newly created position of Vice President, Product Management and Business Development. Most recently he was Director of Sales Engineering for Specops Software, where he worked directly with the sales organization and with engineering to help sell software, develop core messaging, evangelize solutions, build customer relationships, and ensure that sound market feedback was clearly articulated.

Sullivan’s career in technology began in the mid 1990’s. After a few years of delivering training and managing network environments for IBM Global Services, he entered the software development world as a Sales Engineer and Product Manager for Aelita/Quest Software. Kevin became a Group Policy MVP and began collaborating with Mar-Elia and others with deep interest in Windows and configuration management.
Sullivan then became the Director of Product Management at DesktopStandard, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. As Principal Program Manager Lead at Microsoft, he led the integration of DesktopStandard’s products into the Microsoft portfolio, and then contributed to other product teams including Windows Intune and App-V.
