Seafood Barcelona Opens Today: The Second Edition Welcomes Thousands of Fish and Seafood Buyers and Suppliers From Around the World
Barcelona, Spain (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- The second edition of Seafood Barcelona opens its doors today to thousands of fish and seafood buyers and sellers from around the world seeking to grow their businesses in Southern Europe and the Maghreb. The exposition takes place at the Fira de Barcelona, Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain, through Thursday, 24 October.

Several seafood industry professionals will educate visitors on a variety of seafood species, ingredients and innovations that resonate in the Southern Europe and Maghreb markets, such as Atlantic and Pacific cod, anchovy, melva and mackerel, and prawn. Preparations of these species will be demonstrated by famous Chefs Rubén Barrios from La Cocina Bien Hecha del Hotel Mercer, Biel Galvadá and Sergi Escolano from Restaurant Hostal Spa Empuries, awards winner Chef Xanti Alías from Acánthum Restaurant and famous twin brothers and Chefs Javier and Sergio Torres from Dos Cielos Restaurant. “The goal is to provide seafood professionals with all the information they need to make smart seafood purchasing and preparation decisions,” says Liz Plizga.
