Seahawks NFC Championship Tickets: Ticket Down Slashes Ticket Prices and Issues Valuable Promo Code for 2015 Seattle Seahawks NFC Championship Tickets
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- The Seattle Seahawks have advanced to another NFC Championship game and this game will be played at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, January 18th. In the past decade, it has been hard enough for the defending Super Bowl champions to even reach the playoffs, let alone get a victory in the following postseason. The Seahawks were in fact able to reach the playoffs this season as the No.1 seed in the National Football Conference, meaning that the NFC championship would need to go through CenturyLink Field. The 12th man was in full force on Saturday night when the Seahawks routed the Carolina Panthers to advance to the NFC Championship for the second straight season.
The tough Seattle team was led all year by their incredible defensive unit, led by Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, and Bobby Wagner. This group was remarkable throughout the regular season and displayed their incredible skills in the blowout against the Panthers in the Division Round. Sherman recorded an early interception, while Chancellor added a pick of his own in the 4th quarter and returned in 90 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach. At the time of the crucial interception, Carolina was trailing just 24-10 and had the chance to pull within a single score.
Offensively, the Seahawks were led throughout their 12-4 regular season by quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson doesn’t receive the same attention as many other young players at the same position, but all he does in record victories. This season, he threw for 3,475 yards with 20 touchdowns and 7 interceptions with another 849 yards on the ground with 6 additional touchdowns. Many other mobile quarterbacks have a problem with keeping possession of the ball when they scramble, but Wilson is extremely protective of the ball and keeps turnovers to a minimum.
In addition to Wilson, the offense was led on the ground by Marshawn Lynch, who rushed for 1,306 yards with 13 touchdowns and also added 4 touchdowns catching passes out of the backfield on 48 receptions for 367 yards. Other notable offensive stars for the Seahawks this season include their leading receiver, Doug Baldwin (66 receptions, 825 yards, 3 touchdowns), Jermaine Kearse (38 receptions, 537 yards, 1 touchdown), and Luke Wilson, who scored 3 touchdowns this season and averaged 16.5 yards per catch.
