SEAL Innovation, Triangle Aquatic Center and iX3 Sports Announce an Exciting New Partnership to Advance Competitive Swimming and Aquatic Safety
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- SEAL Innovation, Triangle Aquatic Center and iX3 Sports are pleased to announce today that they have joined forces in a new partnership to promote swim safety, enjoyment and competition.
All three organizations care about aquatic safety, making a partnership a natural fit. To improve swim safety, SEAL Innovation (SEAL) created the SEAL SwimSafe™ for swimmers of all ages. If the system detects a swimmer in potential distress, the SEAL band worn by the swimmer immediately triggers a high intensity visible, audible and vibrating alarm so that rescue can begin quickly. This state-of-the-art system was designed for use as part of an overall aquatics safety plan to include parental and lifeguard vigilance; learning to swim; and facility safety measure implementation.
The Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC) in Cary, North Carolina builds and operates public aquatic facilities for the health, safety, recreation and competition needs of Triangle citizens and aquatic organizations. Born from a desire to nurture talented swimmers into world-class athletes, iX3 Sports (iX3) created and manages a professional swim team training to individually qualify for and compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Led by head coach John Payne, the team trains at TAC where Coach Payne also serves as senior director of coaching.
TAC, iX3 and SEAL actively will promote each other’s missions in diverse ways anticipated to evolve over time. SEAL will endorse the iX3 team as a sponsor and provide internship opportunities for its swimmers. iX3, its team members and TAC will promote SEAL’s aquatic safety goals including through personal appearances; promotional events; blogging and social media; and use of SEAL logos on team apparel.
The official partnership launch in May coincides with National Water Safety Awareness month. To kick off the partnership, all three organizations will support the USA Swimming Foundation’s ’31 Days of #MakeaSplash’ social media campaign in May to promote learn to swim and water safety.
To announce the new partnership and benefits to the triangle-area, iX3, TAC and SEAL will host an event for media representatives on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, North Carolina. An oppurtunity to observe, photograph and video the iX3 swim team during a short practice will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by a briefing and Q&A beginning at 10:00 A.M.
