Sean J. Rogers, Author of “The Inner Game of Arbitration” and “Arbitration-Mediation: What’s That All About?” Recognized by Maryland Inn of Court in the Field of ADR
Leonardtown, MD (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- Arbitrator-Mediator and frequent public speaker Sean J. Rogers, Esq. recently presented his programs the “Inner Game of Arbitration” and “Arbitration-Mediation: What’s That All About?” to the Southern Maryland Inn of Court (SMIC). Rogers holds the rank of Senior Barrister with SMIC. His co-presenters were retired judges Kenney, Platt and Kaminetz of the Platt Group who provided updates on Maryland ADR and overviews of their practices. Rogers’ practice has experienced rapid growth in recent years as his reputation for successful mediation settlements grows the in the civil, personal injury and business disputes.
“My practice is exclusively as an impartial neutral. While my recent cases have concerned dispute resolution involving state and local governments and their public safety unions and employees, more recently I have seen my dispute resolution work expand into the fields of securities, banking, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment and business-transactional disputes.” Over his near 40 years experience in dispute resolution, Rogers has developed an arbitration philosophy he calls the “Inner Game of Arbitration.” The “Inner Game” stresses the critical importance of maximizing the practitioner’s arbitration successes from-the-inside-out. The “Inner Game” teaches practitioners how to maximize their personal energy and inner-strength so that their case presentations have the greatest impact on the Arbitrator’s adjudication of the dispute.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Rogers has resolved disputes involving many public safety employees’ unions and their state and local employers. For example, in Delaware he has resolved impasses involving every major police agency including: Delaware State Police, Wilmington Police, Newark Police, Rehoboth Beach Police and the Port of Wilmington Police. In addition, he served as the arbitrator in contract and discipline disputes between the FOP/Labor Committee and the Metropolitan Police of the District of Columbia, and the Port Authority PBA and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police. He also has been selected for contract impasse resolutions between many IAFF Locals, and county and municipal fire departments.
