Seattle Immigration Firm Orbit Law Expands Practice Areas and Services
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 08, 2017 -- Orbit Law, PLLC, which focuses on Immigration Law, recently expanded its practice areas to include advice and representation on matters regarding Business Law and Employment Law. Established in 2011, Orbit Law, PLLC is a well-respected firm, and its partners,Steve Tanijo and Kripa Upadhyay, have received several accolades for their work in immigration-related matters.
Joining the partners as affiliated/of-counsel will be Linda Fang and Jeff Liang, both of whom have more than ten years of experience in Business Law and Employment Law, respectively. Fang will handle most employment and business litigation-related matters, while Liang will handle business incorporation and business agreements.
The firm’s Business Law services include business entity formation, such as LLCs, partnerships and corporations; operating agreements and partnership agreements; shareholder agreements and buy/sell agreements; confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements; contract drafting, review and negotiation; and buying and selling a business or its assets.
Orbit Law’s Employment Law Services include employing workers in multiple states; interviewing and hiring employees, background checks; offer letters and other employment agreements; executive compensation agreements; non-compete and non-solicitation agreements; working with independent contractors; workplace policies and employee handbooks; and termination, severance packages and separation agreements.
“Our expansion of services will also include litigation and dispute resolution for employers, such as pre-litigation advice and demand letters, audits and investigations by state and federal regulatory agencies (U.S. DOL, Washington L&I and ESD, and California DIR and DLSE), administrative proceedings and appeals, state and federal court litigation and private and court-ordered mediation and arbitration,” said Upadhyay.
Orbit Law firmly believes that small and emerging growth business should not have to do a cost-benefit analysis every time they want or need to seek legal advice. “We prefer that our clients call or email us to ask questions or check in on issue-specific legal issues to ensure that they are protected and able to focus on growing their companies,” added Tanijo.
To that end, Orbit Law is now also offering flat fee General Counsel Servicing to bridge the gap between the large law firm hourly billing model and online, ad hoc legal services as a way to give back to the businesses in the community with which it works. The firm’s General Counsel Servicing Program, which offers several tiers depending upon the needs of one’s business, ensures ready access to competent legal counsel from attorneys who understand the ethos of the business and its daily operations.
“Included in each program is an allowance of attorney hours for work on legal affairs and consulting hours for quick questions that are addressed by phone or email. Additionally, we provide free monthly in-person check-ins to allow employers to discuss any issues of concern with counsel,” concluded Upadhyay.
