Second Annual “Best of La Crosse County” Winners Announced
La Crosse, WI (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- The La Crosse Area Convention & Vistors Bureau and Explore La Crosse are pleased to announce the winners of the second annual Best of La Crosse County, online at http://www.explorelacrosse.com/bestof.
Over 8,300 residents and visitors of La Crosse County nominated and voted for their favorite local people and businesses in over 200 categories. The survey covered restaurants and bars, plumbers and insurance agents, parks and boat landings, and everything in between.
The second annual Best of La Crosse County saw many repeat winners and just as many new ones. The Freighthouse retained its titles of Best Overall Restaurant, Best Steak Restaurant, and Best Seafood Restaurant, while Riverside Park, on the strength of its popular free concert series, unseated the La Crosse Center for Best Live Music Venue. In first for the Best of, Deep Roots Community Farm and Old Oak Family Farm tied for Best Farmers Market Stand, and Altra Federal Credit Union ran away from the pack in the new Best Financial Institution category, pulling in nearly half the vote.

Survey participants who nominated at least 10 entities and voted in at least 50 of the 202 categories were automatically entered in a drawing for a 2-day vacation (or staycation) in La Crosse, including dinner at Edwardo's Ristorante di Pizza, a gift certificate from the People's Food Co-op, and a two-night stay at La Crosse’s newest boutique hotel, The Charmant. Winner will be randomly chosen from among all qualified entries and announced on Friday, August 14, 2015, on the Explore La Crosse Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/explorelacrosse).
