Second Annual Bini Bash Fundraiser January 30th Nicotra’s Ballroom
Staten Island, NY (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund, a Staten Island-based non-profit, will host its Second Annual Winter Bash Fundraiser on Saturday, January 30th at Nictora’s Ballroom from 7pm-Midnight. The event will feature a special celebrity guest performance by freestyle recording artists, TKA. The organization says that its primary focus this year will be on raising funds to provide resources for those affected by the drug epidemic the borough is currently facing.
“The sad reality is that most people on Staten Island know of someone who is struggling with addiction, but don’t know where to turn for help,” said Massimo DiDonna, President of The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund. “Our goal is to open an unbiased resource where people can go to receive guidance as to what programs and services are available to bridge the gap between addiction and recovery.”
The organization intends to reopen Carl’s House, which originally served as an immediate needs center after Hurricane Sandy and pumped more than $2.1 million of aid back into the community. This time, however, Carl’s House will serve as a resource facility for addicts, their families, and friends who have unanswered questions about the path to recovery. Mr. DiDonna stressed the point that Carl’s House will work in tangent with seasoned local and national rehabilitation organizations and offer no treatment solutions of its own.
The Second Annual Bini Winter Bash is the first in a series of events this year to raise funding to underwrite the cost of the Carl’s House initiative. Tickets are $150 each and include gourmet sit-down dinner, top-shelf open bar, and live performance by recording artist TKA. Tickets are available online by visiting http://www.BiniFund.org or dialing 718-412-1851. For those unable to attend but who wish to make a donation to the cause, you may do so by visiting the website or dialing the number above.
