Security Partners Announces Acquisition of Mace Central Station
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- With the announcement, Security Partners is now in the unique position of offering its dealers and subscribers the benefits of three redundant central stations. In July, Security Partners acquired Response Center USA of San Antonio, TX.
“With this latest move, we will be creating a national monitoring solution with true redundancies and operational efficiencies from coast to coast,” said Patrick Egan, CEO, Security Partners. “Our dealers will now have access to three UL/CSAA – Five Diamond central stations, with more robust programs and back-up support, offering tremendous opportunities for business growth.”
“The acquisition of Mace Central Station further increases the strength of our brand in a competitive environment, and allows us to develop even more Security Partners products for our dealers to take to market on an exclusive basis,” added Michael Bodnar, president, Security Partners.
Mace Central Station is a subsidiary of Mace Security International of Cleveland, OH, the original manufacturer of defense sprays and the industry leader in the category. The California-based monitoring center will continue to be managed by Michael J. Joseph, who has more than 30 years of experience in the security industry.
Joseph said his team is looking forward to capitalizing on the synergies offered through the fast-expanding Security Partners, as his dealers and subscribers will benefit from the 100 percent uptime and the national coverage of a company with three redundant central stations in three separate time zones.
“This is a great opportunity and partnership for both companies,” said John McCann, president of Mace Security International. “The big element for Mace was the addition of the true redundancy that offers additional protection and services to its dealer network. For Security Partners, this partnership also culminates its efforts to provide full redundancy. The result is three central stations in separate time zones on separate power grids all tied together.”
Both companies are now communicating with dealers and subscribers about new programs and services offered through the acquisition. Security Partners will be in a position to offer Mace-branded products and services to all of its dealers.
“As the market becomes even more competitive and complex, we are giving our dealers more opportunities for expansion, including use of the internationally-known Mace brand,” Bodnar said. “With the combined services, products, and customer service of the two companies, we provide our dealers with even more opportunities to build their businesses and enhance their bottom line.”
Barry Epstein, president of Vertex Capital, which structured the acquisition, said Security Partners and Mace are an ideal partnership. “It was clear from the outset they will make ideal partners and strengthen their position as leaders in the industry,” Epstein said.
