Seeonic’s Industry Leading Technology Powers Interstate Batteries to Winning Award
Dallas, TX/Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 25, 2015 -- On Friday, April 17, Interstate Batteries was selected as the recipient of RFID Journal’s annual Best Implementation Award. This award is given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve its manufacturing, supply chain or retail operations. The winner is the company that best demonstrates how RFID is delivering real value to shareholders. The award was presented at RFID Journal Live! 2015 in San Diego, the RFID industries annual trade show and conference. Seeonic wishes to congratulate Interstate Batteries and Bruce Hellen, Interstate Batteries Director of Business Practices.
“As part of our continuing modernization effort, Interstate wanted to develop a system of tracking inventory in our dealer locations so we could provide them with even greater service. Seeonic had a brilliant core technology and Interstate partnered with them to create a commercial product. This automated system has exceeded our expectations regarding accuracy and reliability, providing unprecedented visibility of our shelf-level inventory. Additionally, Seeonic and Interstate collaborated to modify this technology to work in a delivery vehicle, installing it in 29 of our trucks. We have used the technology in these trucks for over 12 months with equally positive results,” said Hellen. “The system has been operating from over 2,000 locations across the United States for the past 18 months with 99.8% data accuracy and cellular connectivity rates”.
Seeonic’s architecture consists of SightWare devices installed at the point-of-use for real-time inventory collection. Locations could be in the Interstate Batteries dealer racks, in retail store shelving or fixtures, in a medical device trunk stock bag, in a hospital storage unit or shelving, or other locations where real-time accurate inventory is needed for better business decisions. The SightWare devices transmit the collected inventory to Seeniq, Seeonic’s Cloud service, via either a GSM or CDMA cellular network. “Browser-based dashboards are available for inventory recommendations and predictive analytics to aid our customers in making better inventory management decisions in support of their business”, said Harley Feldman Seeonic’s Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “Seeonic can also provide inventory data to our customers’ business systems”.
