SeePolitical Receives Foundation Grants to Increase Voter Participation
Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) July 06, 2016 -- SeePolitical, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that informs and empowers voters through creative design platforms, announced today that they have received grants totaling almost $50,000 from the California Community Foundation and the California Endowment to help produce entertaining and unbiased videos explaining several aspects of the California and national political process. The videos, as per SeePolitical’s signature review process, are free of editorial opinion and vetted though their Board of Directors with diverse political backgrounds.
The California Community Foundation grant will be used to produce and distribute videos for upcoming California ballot propositions. The California Endowment grant will be used to produce videos explaining specific functions of the political and electoral process. All of this content is designed to help new and seasoned voters frustrated by researching dense text-heavy voter educational material in a year when the state's official voter guide is expected to exceed 250 pages in length.

SeePolitical relies on grants like these in order to produce the amount of content that is requested of them in the State of California and beyond. Approximately 20 ballot measures are predicted to be on the 2016 California election ballot this year, and SeePolitical would like to produce educational content for each one.
Original animated videos are typically expensive to produce, however SeePolitical’s relationships with design schools and academic departments in key universities in LA as well as with Imaginary Forces, an Emmy award-winning production & design studio also in Los Angeles, allow the ability to produce top quality video for a fraction of the cost.
SeePolitical demonstrated a successful partnership earlier this year in a local election in Culver City, that experiencing a voter turnout increase of 60%. City officials attributed the unique branding elements, including creative animated videos produced by SeePolitical, to the voter increase and have plans to continue the relationship for future elections.
