Segment Partners With Xplenty to Enable Data Processing
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- Xplenty, the big data processing platform powered by Hadoop, today announced integration with Segment, the first customer data hub. The partnership will allow Segment Redshift (Segment SQL) users to process data via Xplenty’s easy-to-use, data processing service.
Segment is a universal integration layer that makes customer data collection simple. Through a single platform, it collects, translates, and routes data to hundreds of analytics and marketing tools instantly.
In November, Segment unveiled Segment SQL, enabling Segment users to automatically load behavioral data from apps and websites directly into Amazon Redshift. Amazon Redshift is a powerful, fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse solution that makes it simple and cost-effective to efficiently analyze customer data. With Segment SQL, users access a complete dataset that can later be queried for business insights, cross-domain analysis and a 360-degree view of the customer.
By adding Xplenty integration, Segment SQL users will now have access to Xplenty’s Hadoop-based, easy-to-use processing platform, making it possible to quickly read raw data and immediately process it for analytics. Currently, data handlers spend up to 80 percent of their time processing and preparing data for analytics. In providing access to Xplenty, Segment SQL users can dramatically streamline data preparation, allowing them to focus on analytics and identifying insights that drive revenue opportunities.
“After working with out-of-the box analytics tools, many of our customers want more granular access to their behavioral data in a flexible format – in a relational database,” said Peter Reinhardt, CEO and co-founder of Segment. “We built Segment SQL to automate the process, transforming and loading of data directly from apps and websites into a scalable, fast SQL data warehouse. We’ve partnered with Xplenty, so they can extend this even further, easily manipulating their data for all their analytics needs.”
Xplenty allows organizations to integrate, process, and prepare data for analytics both on the cloud and on-premise, without any Hadoop expertise or background writing code. Without any prerequisites and a user-friendly, drag-and-drop interface, Xplenty ensures businesses can quickly and easily benefit from the opportunities offered by big data without having to invest in hardware, software, or related personnel.
“We’re pleased to partner with Segment and bring our processing capabilities to Segment SQL users,” said Yaniv Mor, CEO and co-founder of Xplenty. “We’ve built a powerful big data processing platform that puts ease-of-use front-and-center – with no coding or prior Hadoop expertise necessary – packaged into a simple, drag-and-drop interface. This makes Xplenty the perfect integration partner.”
In addition to Amazon, Xplenty is fully supported across Google Cloud Platform, Rackspace, and IBM’s SoftLayer. Its multi-platform functionality enhances flexibility, allowing users to import data from wherever it may be stored.
