Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014 -- Alexandria, VA: December 1, 2014 – The friends of Select Auto Imports, led by Mike Haji, raised $32,595 for their Eighth Annual Walter Reed Society Fundraiser between October 29th, 2014 and November 12th, 2014.

The Walter Reed Society serves the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and its educational, patient, treatment and research activities. The Walter Reed Society was established in 1996 to assist servicemen and women being treated at WRNMMC due to service in Iraq, Afghanistan and surrounding areas. The Walter Reed Society is run entirely by volunteers, so every dollar donated goes to helping our nation’s veterans and their families.

Mike Haji, owner and president of Select Auto Imports, brought attention to the cause through a partnership with WTOP radio (103.5 FM, 107.7 FM, and 1500 AM) and television ads. Each year, Mike Haji and Select Auto Imports pledge to match donations up to $10,000. This year The Walter Reed Society received $22,595 from public donations and the $10,000 contribution from Mike Haji and Select Auto Imports, giving them a grand total of $32,595.
