In his new position, he will assist and oversee offices of self-directed IRA firms in Florida (Advanta IRA Services) and in Georgia (Advanta IRA Administration) in continuing to develop and strengthen client and professional relationships across the nation.
Formerly serving as sales and marketing director, Maurer has the unique ability to implement concepts and strategies developed in that position to facilitate plans Advanta IRA has for developing and sustaining new business and professional relationships within the retirement planning world. While the firms do not sell investments or give investment advice, they do hold weekly events at no cost to attendees to teach them about the benefits of self-direction.
Maurer has been settled in his new position for several months now and is already facilitating some of his goals:

- Adding marketing associates to raise the firms’ visibility among the communities they serve
- Continuing to provide top-notch educational events and adding instructional videos on the website
- Partnering with tax and real estate professionals to expand the awareness of self-direction among them and their clients
