DeeLux, a modern and vintage resale clothing store, opens its doors to the public, but does so with a twist. They are not open to sell or trade clothes; they are only looking to buy yours.
Dave and Denise Brown, the owners of DeeLux, are excited to open their newest location in the charming shopping district of Claremont Village.
“We have been looking for an opportunity to return to the Inland area,” says Denise Brown. The DeeLux store in Riverside closed in 2007, and since then Inland Empire shoppers have had to make the trek to the DeeLux store in Costa Mesa.
DeeLux caters to young people and the young at heart who love up-to-date, brand name casual clothing, and to those who treasure vintage and vintage inspired fashion.
Dave Brown, co-owner and a musician, recently stopped by his favorite music store in Claremont, The Folk Music Center, and noticed the “For Lease” sign on the building next door. They leased it immediately.
“I love that we’ll be neighbors!” says Brown. “There is an artistic and easy-going atmosphere to the town that feels like home to us.”
The new Claremont, CA DeeLux store will be a seller’s only marketplace for approximately two months. During this time a small section of the storefront will be open only to customers selling their used clothing, shoes, and accessories.
DeeLux invites everyone to come by on or after July 9 with your gently used clothes and see what you can get for them.
“We will schedule a Grand Opening once we have a better idea of how fast the stock is accumulating,” says Brown. “Early September is the target.” At that point, the store will be open to buy, sell, and trade gently used clothing.
The new DeeLux store is located at 224 Yale Ave. Claremont, CA 91711.
